Classification, characteristics and usage methods of conductivity sensors

 

The conductivity sensor is a sensor used to measure the conductivity of various solutions such as ultrapure water, pure water, drinking water, sewage, or the concentration of the overall ion of the water sample in the laboratory, industrial production, and detection fields.

 

Classification of conductivity sensors

Conductivity sensors can be divided into electrode-type conductivity sensors, inductive-type conductivity sensors and ultrasonic conductivity sensors according to different measurement principles and methods.

The electrode-type conductivity sensor adopts the resistance measurement method according to the principle of electrolytic conductivity to measure the conductivity. The conductivity measurement electrode is a complex electrochemical system during the measurement process; the inductive conductivity sensor realizes the measurement of the liquid conductivity based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The measurement of the conductivity; the ultrasonic conductivity sensor measures the conductivity according to the change of the ultrasonic wave in the liquid, and the former two sensors are the most widely used.

3. The cell constant is strictly calibrated.

5. High temperature and high pressure resistance.

7. Made of special materials, not easy to be stained.

 

How to use the conductivity sensor

1. Before and after use, pay attention to rinse the poles with distilled water and dry them with filter paper.
2. When the conductivity electrode is connected to the sensor, align the notch of the BNC interface with the protruding end of the sensor interface and tighten it.
3. When using the conductivity sensor, the measured object should be in full contact with the sensor.

 

Conductivity sensor technology is a very important field of engineering technology research. It is used to measure the conductivity of liquids and is widely used in human production and life. It is an indispensable detection and monitoring device in production and technology development. Conductivity sensors mainly measure and detect industrial production water, human domestic water, seawater characteristics, and electrolyte properties in batteries.
