LTM4636-1 40 A µModule® Regulator with O

Linear Tech's LTM4636EY-1#PBF-ND and LTM4636IY-1#PBF have protection circuitry that trips a circuit breaker in the event of overvoltage or overtemperature fault conditions. In doing this, it protects itself, the PCB, and loads such as high current low voltage processors, FPGAs, GPUs, and ASICs. The output crowbar function quickly clamps the output to protect the load during an overvoltage condition. Its BGA package construction is innovative in that the inductor is exposed on top and is used as a heat sink, permitting direct contact with airflow from any direction for effective cooling. In doing this it can deliver 40 W with only +40°C rise over the ambient temperature. Full power 40 W is delivered up to +83°C ambient and half-power 20 W is supported at +110°C ambient.
