Combining polymer tantalum technology with high-efficiency MicroTan^® packaging, the Vishay T58 series of polymer tantalum chip capacitors, with high-efficiency MicroTan packaging, feature low ESR, a wide capacitance range, and low impedance. The capacitors achieve industry-best capacitance-voltage ratings in six molded case codes, including 47 µF-6.3 V in the compact M0 (1608-10) case and 220 µF-10 V and 330 µF-6.3 V in the BB (3528-20). They provide a 10% improvement in space utilization compared to similar devices, saving PCB space, and enabling the design of smaller and thinner end products.

Applications include decoupling, smoothing, filtering, and energy storage applications in smartphones, tablets, and ultra-thin laptops, in addition to wireless cards, network equipment, and audio amplifiers and pre-amplifiers.
