TAS6424-Q1 Class-D Audio Amplifier
Texas Instruments TAS6424-Q1 Class-D Audio Amplifier is a four-channel digital-input Class-D audio amplifier designed for use in automotive head units and external amplifier modules. The device provides four channels at 27W into 4Ω at 10% THD+N. It also provides 45W into 2Ω at 10% THD+N from a 14.4V supply and 75W into 4Ω at 10% THD+N from a 25V supply. The Class-D topology dramatically improves efficiency over traditional linear amplifier solutions. The output switching frequency can be set either above AM band or below AM. Above AM band eliminates the AM-band interference and reduces output filtering and cost. Below AM band to allows the designer to optimize efficiency. The wide supply voltage range, from 4.5V to 26.4V, helps minimize audio artifacts in start-stop applications.
