IDT Radio Frequency (RF) Amplifiers are silicon-based RF amplifiers that offer constant gain across a wide bandwidth range. The RF amplifiers Family portfolio offers a variety of gain, noise figure, and linearity features with differential and single-ended input impedances. These amplifiers feature Zero-Distortion™ technology that enables high IP3 output with low current consumption. The RF amplifiers provide excellent RF performance with high reliability and high integration level. These RF amplifiers are readily applicable to wireless base stations, repeaters, military communication, and industrial equipment.
RF Analog Variable Gain Amplifier (VGA)
IDT F2480 RF Analog VGA Amplifier is an analog controlled variable gain amplifier (AVGA) with a wide bandwidth. The amplifier ranges from 400MHz to 3000MHz. The device can be formatted as the first stage in the cascade as either an amplifier or a voltage variable attenuator (VVA). When used as an attenuator, the device ranges from 50 to 6000MHz. The F2480 delivers a 12dB typical maximum cascade gain with 4.3dB noise figure and 36dB gain adjustment developed to function with a single +5V supply. The device provides an excellent linearity OIP3 performance of +41.5 with a supply current of only 106mA. The device pinout supports a variety of cascade and use configurations. Single-ended RF input of 50Ω and RF output impedances ease integration into the signal-path lineup. The Zero-Distortion™ amplifier comes in a 5x5mm 32-TQFN package. The IDT amplifier applications include multi-mode and multi-carrier receivers, cable infrastructure, broadband repeaters, and more.
