I received chips and tried to program them. They do not respond correctly to the Arduino as ISP programmer (i.e. they return invalid device signature - usually only zeroes or 0xff-s). I double checked wiring. I even changed wires to others. Still no luck. I contacted the seller and they offered to send the chips again. I agreed. I received the replacement, but only one chip (there were two faulty in the first shipment). Replacement chip was responding when I tried to program it, but it was returning a device signature suggesting that it is not ATtiny85, but ATtiny12 (completely different chip, no compiler support, no support from Arduino IDE etc.). The chip was visually labeled ATtiny85 though,The store said that they tested the chips... Well, it is not possible for a chip to change its device signature in transit, so I doubt whether what they were telling me was true.I asked for a refund and received it.
